Red Regiment Has Big Weekend at U of I Championships

The Effingham High School Marching Hearts Red Regiment performed their show "Nevermore" at the Illinois Marching Band Championships at the University of Illinois on Saturday.

The Red Regiment competed with 17 bands from across the region. The band placed Second in Class 2A, the first time Effingham has placed at the U of I competition.

The Red Regiment will perform at their last competition of the season this Saturday at the Greater St. Louis Marching Band Festival at Belleville West High School. They will perform at 2pm.
