15 Years in Prison for Local Man for Criminal Sexual Assault

An Effingham resident has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for criminal sexual assault.

54-year-old Kenneth Bryan entered the guilty plea. A Class X felony count of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child was dismissed as part of the plea. 

Bryan was arrested in May of 2021.

Judge Allan Lolie ordered that Bryan will be placed on three years to life in prison mandatory supervised release once he is out of prison. He must undergo STD testing, and must have no contact with the victim or her residence. Bryan must also pay $5,000 in fines and assessments.
