Effingham Water Authority trustees heard at this month's meeting that work to repair a property on Court Six at Lake Sara is moving forward.

Bids were sought to do repairs on the property, but there are materials at the facility to cover some of the cost of the work. Water Authority Attorney Tony Siemer will check on the matter and report back to the Board.

Lake Superintendent Mike Dirks reported that the Water Authority does not have equipment big enough to handle the Blue Point Trail drainage project. Dirks will check with Dust Enterprises on the work.

The tax levy ordinance was approved for the new fiscal year; and it was decided to raise rental fees for the Community Building and the Pearson Building by $150 for each building. That will raise the fee to $700 for the Community Building and $500 for the Pearson Building. Air conditioning is being installed in the Pearson Building.

No bids were received on a lot for sale; the Board approved adding the residential component to the Effingham/Effingham County Enterprise Zone; and the boat license printing quote was awarded to the low bidder, Patton Printing for $1,560.21.
