North Clay school board members Wednesday adopted the district budget for the new fiscal year, and also approved the admnistrator and teacher salary and benefits report for the fiscal year. The report will be available on the district's website.

The Board voted to apply for a school maintenance grant, and approved the 10-year health and life safety report. Also approved was an architect fee agreement for HVAC and roof work at the grade school/junior high school building.

In personnel action, the North Clay board approved an unpaid leave request for Larry Barbee, approved a leave of absence for Kimberly Kemmerer, and approved Kacie Crawford as freshman class sponsor. Board members also accepted the resignation of Alecia Lutz as librarian effective immediately, and then moved Michele Ruesken from paraprofessional to librarian. The resignation of Jamie Parks as paraprofessional was accepted effective October 7, and the Board authorized the administration to hire a non-certified paraprofessional.

Board members also accepted the resignation of Rendell Flood as PE teacher, effective December 22, and as junior high head baseball coach, effective immediately.

Among a host of reports on district activities was information that district 3rd graders and the high school Ag classes have begun their greenhouse collaboration, and that Mia Compton is helping to beautify the front of the elementary entrance through her service project. New flowers and decorations are a part of the project.
