50th Anniversary of Mid America Motorworks Set for Saturday

Mid America Motorworks has plans in place for the 2022 Corvette Funfest.

This year's Funfest is scheduled for Saturday, September 17 on the Mid America grounds along North US 45. The Funfest grounds will open at 8am, including the MY Garage Museum, Corvette Clearance Cave, and Check-In Station.

Opening Ceremonies are set for 10am  at the 1910 Gas Station. At 10:30, there will be the start of a daylong series of music, games, trivia, Karaoke, and club activities.

This year's Funfest theme is "On the Road to Our 50th Anniversary". At 11am, Mike Yager, Chief Cheerleader for Mid America, will share about "50 Years of Mid America Motorworks". 

Also at 11am, a hula hoop contest will get underway at the food court.

At 1pm, Ron McQueeney, the retired Director of Photography for Indianapolis Motor Speedway, will share about "Corvette Pace Cars at the Indy 500". Then, at 2pm, McQueeney will share about his "40 Years as the Eyes of the Speedway". 

Also at 2pm, Corvette musical chairs will begin at the food court.

A reminder of the Corvette Funfest Pre-Party at the Effingham Performance Center Friday night from 5 to 7pm. Corvette enthusiasts and residents are welcome to attend, as they are for Saturday's events at Mid America.
