The Altamont school board Monday reached agreement on purchase of a band trailer.

Under the Altamont Band Boosters proposal, the school district will purchase and own the trailer, but the Band Boosters will reimburse the district for the full cost of the trailer.

Also Monday, the Altamont board approved a hazardous bus route application to submit to IDOT; approved an early graduation request; approved a joint co-op agreement with OKAW for vocational education for next school year; and approved a memorandum of understanding between the school district and the Altamont Educational Support Professionals Association.

In personnel moves, the Altamont board approved Mackenzie Florida and Debra Rice as paraprofessionals for the grade school, approved Michelle Miller and Dwight Sutter as substitute bus drivers, approved Todd Willis as a full time custodian and Susan Harris as a part-time custodian, approved coaches including Curtis Higgs for 7th grade basketball, Bethany Nelson for junior high track, and Brad Ruholl for 5th and 6th grade basketball, approved Leslie Probst as a junior high Math teacher, and approved Tony Hann as drama club sponsor.

The Board also approved an overnight trip request for FFA to travel to the National Convention in October.
