Wright's Furniture and Flooring Celebrates Its 100th Wright Sleep Mattress Customer

Wright’s Furniture & Flooring, a fifth-generation family-owned business, is celebrating the success of its locally made mattress line called The Wright Sleep Mattresses. Since the new line launched a year ago, more than 100 Wright’s 1889 Firm and 1889 Plush mattresses have been sold. The products are both made in Central Illinois and are sold at Wright’s Furniture & Flooring locations in Taylorville and its original store in Dieterich. 

“The mattress line has become our customers’ favorite mattress set, and I think that’s a testament to the care we took in ensuring the quality of this product,” said Wright’s Furniture & Flooring’s Alex Wright. “We are in talks with our current manufacturer about additional lines in the future. People appreciate this unique line because of the Midwest craftsmanship and the fact that we usually have these models stocked as well.”

Wright said a few of the features that make their new product line unique include its graphite-infused memory foam, which sleeps seven times cooler than traditional memory gel. It also has been made with copper-infused ions which can be absorbed into the skin and may provide health benefits such as reducing inflammation. Wright said one of the most important differences is that their mattresses undergo a unique pre-compression process.

“These have the best quality components in the industry coupled with pre-compression,” said Wright. “Springs, memory foam, and cushioning all have a certain amount of air inside. With pre-compression, all the air is squeezed out, so there’s little-to-no room for depression.”

The new Wright’s Sleep line is part of three exclusive brands that are only available at Wright’s Furniture. These include The Wright’s Sleep Mattresses, Lifestyle Upholstery, and Ultra Furniture. The company also carries other big brand mattress lines such as Serta, Simmons, Sealy, and Tempur-Pedic.
