More Rain Overnight Reported Around the Area

We remind you again that boat traffic has been halted on Lake Sara until further notice.

Kim Rhodes sent along this photo of Jim and Dawson from the Effingham Water Authority picking up loose rafts and kayaks that floated away from docks on the lake due to the heavy rains overnight.

Rainfall totals varied, as usual. We recorded 1.8 inches here at our studios in Effingham, but we had several reports of up to three inches last night northwest of town and even elsewhere around Effingham.

More rain is a possibility today!
