It will be a busy Sunday at the 2022 Effingham County Fair.

Things will get started with a worship service at 8am in the 4-H Arena. The final day of ranch sorting will begin at 10am.

The brand new playground will be dedicated at noon, and the CDubs Inflatables will be open from noon until 10pm.

The first of six days of harness racing will begin at 1pm. A reminder that today's card of 11 races can be heard on Classic Hits 979XFM. The rest of the week's harness racing program can be heard on KJ Country 102.3.

The Community Showcase will begin in the Schuetzenfest Building with presentations at 3:30pm and 5:30pm of Fancy Feet for Sewing presented by Mari Grupe from Schallert's Sewing. Also, balloons and face painting is planned today on the free stage.

The parade is set to move in front of the grandstand at 4:30pm. The procession will leave the high school at 4:15pm and head to the fairgrounds. A reminder, too, of the Master Showmanship in the 4-H Arena at 6pm.

The annual Talent Show will begin in front of the grandstand at 6:30pm, followed by the Junior Miss Pageant at 8pm, featuring for the first time a Little Mister event.

As far as judging, a reminder of the 4-H Beef Show at noon.

The fair runs through Saturday at Altamont.
