St. Elmo school board members Monday purchased an activity bus and a used minivan for the coming school year. The Board also awarded bids for milk from Prairie Farm and for fuel from Effingham Equity.

The Board directed new superintendent Travis Portz to start work on a budget for the new fiscal year; approved updates on the sports co-op athletic handbook and the elementary handbook.

In personnel moves, St. Elmo board members approved the resignation of Keisha Bush as a bus driver, employed Kim Jones as a custodian, employed Brittany Coomer as junior high softball assistant coach, and approved Ashley Towler as the district treasurer.
