Stewardson-Strasburg school board members held their first meeting under the direction of new superintendent Justin Deters Monday.

The Board approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Neoga school district to share a school nurse, and authorized Deters to begin work on a budget for the new school year.

The Board purchased a mower; approved the Safe Return to School plan for the district for the new school year; approved seeking a shared education grant; discussed resurfacing the school track; and directed the administration to collect information and costs associated with eight-man football.

Following a closed session, the Board hired Jenny Ramert as a fourth grade teacher, hired Mitchell Martin as fresh/soph boys basketball coach, hired Dawn Carson as a cook, hired Theresa Walk as substitute cook, approved Lisa Harris as Loyalty Club sponsor, and accepted the resignation of Allyson Paden as a paraprofessional.
