Altamont school board members acted on several personnel matters at their meeting Monday night.

Resignations were accepted, including those of Tara Beard as a teacher, Mildred Cowger as a teacher and junior high volleyball coach, and Ryan Heiden as 5th and 6th grade basketball coach.

Those hired are Chloe Larimore as an elementary education teacher, Cassidy Lowry as an elementary Special Education teacher, and Trenton Kull as a Grades K-8 teacher.

Volunteers were approved pending completion of all qualifications, those being Cody Pike and Ken Bourgeois as junior high baseball coaches.

The Altamont board also authorized Superintendent Casey Adam to pursue a tuition waiver for the district, to approve the employee handbook, and to approve updated press policies.

The Board authorized Adam to seek fuel bids, decided against releasing any closed session minutes as they pertain to personnel, and authorized Adam to begin work on a budget for the new fiscal year.
