Effingham city police released information Tuesday on a crash that resulted in several injuries. The crash occurred on June 8th at Keller Drive and Temple Avenue.

The crash happened at 9:14am. Police say a vehicle driven by 74-year-old Gary Goeckner of Effingham struck a vehicle driven by 80-year-old Ester Murray of Newton. The impact caused Murray's vehicle to leave the roadway, travel across a grassy area into a parking lot, and strike a parked vehicle owned by Allen Riedle of Vandalia.

Both drivers, as well as a passenger in Goeckner's vehicle, 70-year-old Margaret Goeckner of Effingham, and a passenger in Murray's vehicle, 72-year-old Barbara Ross of Newton, all sustained injuries. Murray, Margaret Goeckner and Ross were all transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment. Gary Goeckner declined treatment.

No citations were issued.
