The Effingham County Board's Economic Development Advisory Board Tuesday said there is close to $58,000 available in funds to be loaned to new or expanding businesses in the county.

Advisory Board Chairman David Campbell said those interested in finding out more about the availability of the funds can contact the Effingham County Board office at 217-342-4990.

The funds are part of a $99,000 grant received by the County several years ago to help businesses with startup costs or expansion plans.
