Special Olympian Kraig Dahnke Headed to Orlando

Team Illinois is heading to the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games in Orlando, Florida. The games will be held June 5-12.

The organization is inviting local supporters to join them for a sendoff celebration as area participants begin their journey to the Games.

Many of the Special Olympics athletes representing Team Illinois who reside in the central and southern parts of the state, along with local coaches and other members of the team's delegation will be on the bus heading to Rosemont.

The group will be departing at 1pm from the parking lot at Special Olympics Illinois state headquarters 605 East Willow in Normal. Athletes and team members will arrive at 12:30pm to check in and board the bus. The bus aims to leave the parking lot at 1pm.

Teutopolis athlete Kraig Dahnke was selected to represent Illinois. Kraig will be competing in athletics.
