A father and son were injured in a crash involving a vehicle driven by their wife and mother.
The crash occurred at 5:38am Wednesday on I-57 northbound at the Green Creek Rest Area north of Effingham. State police say 36-year-old Sidney Warren of Paducah, Kentucky exited the interstate at too fast a speed and ran over a curb, causing her vehicle to strike a parked semi.
Warren's husband, 43-year-old William Warren and their son, 22-year-old William Warren, Jr. were injured in the crash. William was taken to Carle Hospital in Urbana, while William Jr. was taken to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Sidney Warren was not reported to been hurt in the crash, but she was ticketed for improper lane usage, DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
