Clay County State’s Attorney Phillip Givens has announced that Robert L. Rinehart, 58, of Louisville was sentenced to 4 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on Monday in Clay County Circuit Court for the violation of his probation to the offense of Non-Consensual Dissemination of Private Sexual Images, a Class 4 Felony.

Rinehart was previously placed on 24 months of probation for the charge on March 15, 2021. Rinehart violated his probation by failing drug tests. He admitted to the violations in Court on March 21 and was scheduled for sentencing on May 16. Rinehart’s probation was revoked and he was resentenced to 4 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. The initial investigation was conducted by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, and the probation violation was conducted the Clay County Probation Department.

Givens said: “We hope today’s sentence helps deter other defendants on probation from violating so they can continue being productive members of the community.”
