Fayette County Authorities Investigating an Infant Death

Fayette County authorities are investigating the death of an infant.

Fayette County Coroner David Harris said he was notified early Sunday morning of the death of the five-month-old in the southern part of the county. An autopsy was performed in Bloomington Monday morning. 

The Fayette County Coroner's Office, Fayette County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and the Child Death Task Force are continuing an investigation into the matter.
