(SHERRY HUBBARTT)

A Decatur man has changed his plea to guilty for his role in the death of a Shelby County woman.

21-year-old Thomas Miller Monday pleaded guilty to counts of concealing a homicidal death and possession of a stolen vehicle in connection with the April 2021 death of Sherry Hubbartt of Clarksburg. Hubbartt's grandson, Clayton Anderson of Shelbyville, pleaded guilty to his grandmother's murder and has been sentenced to life in prison. The possession of a stolen vehicle charge alleges that he and Anderson stole Hubbartt's vehicle and fled as far as Nevada before being apprehended on unrelated charges.

Judge Amanda Ade-Harlow revoked Miller's bond after he entered the guilty pleas. The judge set Miller's sentencing for May 23.

Miller will remain in Shelby County Jail until his sentencing.
