The predatory criminal sexual assault trial of Effingham resident Martin Hubbard was delayed one month during a brief court hearing Thursday.

The 67-year-old Hubbard faces charges alleging improper actions against children.

The case was to go to trial later this month, but was continued one month with the delay attributed to the defendant. Hubbard is now to go on trial on April 25. Judge Kevin Parker scheduled a final pre-trial hearing for Hubbard for April 14.

Hubbard remains in custody in Effingham County Jail.
