Altamont Council Awards Mowing Contracts

Altamont city council members this week awarded mowing bids.

Precision Lawn Care will mow Gilbert Park and Union Cemetery, Tyler Gordon Construction will mow Schmidt Park and Klitzing Park, and Jon Berg will mow the Municipal Building, the sewer lagoons and the water reservoir. 

The Council renewed El Rancherito's lease of the building at Schmidt Park at 600 South Main at a 3% increase over the previous year. Also approved was the paperwork on electric easements for Dan Milleville, Randy Milleville, and Richard Kelly. Also approved was a raw water pump installation for $148,370 from the water reservoir to the water treatment plant, and roadside fundraiser requests were approved with the VFW Post for Poppy Day on May 6 and with the Lions Club for a Tootsie Pop sale on May 21.

The Altamont Council approved a new agreement for an employee assistance program with Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center at a cost of $25 per employee, and approved payment to BHMG for $18,603.75 for SCADA replacement at the electric department.
