The Illinois State Police commissioned 15 new Troopers at a graduation ceremony in the State Police Academy in Springfield.

The new Troopers will report to five ISP patrol districts throughout the state on Monday.

The Troopers have completed a 14-week Fast-Track class for certified police officers to become Troopers.

Two of the new cadets will report to District 12, based in Effingham.

Anyone interested in joining the ranks of the Illinois State Police is encouraged to visit the Illinois State Police Merit Board website at www.illinoistrooper.com. The next class is tentatively set to begin in October.
