Three More File for County Board

Three more individuals have filed for a seat on the Effingham County Board.

Those who filed include Joshua Douthit in District B, Christopher Keller in District E, and Sandra Gillet in District H. All three filed as Republicans.

All three of the candidates are newcomers. Those who now hold the seats are Jim Niemann in District B, John Perry in District E, and Rob Arnold in District H. 

As of Wednesday, Doug McCain in District G and Elizabeth Huston in District F are the only incumbent board members to file for another term. Several current board members have indicated that they do not plan to seek re-election.

The filing period ends on Monday, March 14.
