Fishing can take on several different dimensions.

The Barry Brandt family has embraced a strategy known as "Fishing for Kids". For the past several years, the Brandts have opened their property south of the Watson T to kids from the area so they can experience the fun of fishing. In the process, the Brandts and various volunteers do a little fishing themselves. The group looks for opportunities to tell the children about the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus.

Megan Brandt was the Effingham Noon Rotary Club guest speaker to share about the "Fishing tor Kids" effort. She is also a Noon Rotarian. First Baptist Church of Effingham Pastor Nate Mason, also a Noon Rotarian, served as the weekly program chairman.
