People's Convoy Slated to Travel Past Effingham Tuesday

The People's Convoy is slated to travel past Effingham on Tuesday.

A group plans to gather at the Cross at 10am, but doesn't expect the convoy to arrive before 10:30.

The convoy left California last week and is traveling through Oklahoma and Missouri today on I-44. The plan is to stop for the night tonight in Cuba, Missouri, then head east through Illinois on Tuesday, stopping Tuesday night in Indianapolis. When the group stopped Sunday night in Big Cabin, Oklahoma, organizers said that more than 7,000 vehicles were traveling with the convoy.

An update on their progress is expected around 8pm this evening, and we'll update this story with additional information.
