Windsor school board members have voted to proceed with a major roofing project after receiving a state grant to help pay for the project.

The Windsor board contracted with GRP to do the work at a cost of $320,000. The $50,000 grant from the State will cover much of the cost.

The Board also agreed to a teachers union proposal to grant a paid administrative leave day to teachers who get either a vaccination or booster against COVID and a second day for recovery if there's a reaction to the shot. The Board then also voted to grant the same option to all other school district employees.

Windsor board members voted to lease a 24-passenger bus for one year at a cost of $14,238.80, and set February 9 as the date for a strategic planning meeting.

The Board voted to accept the resignation of junior/senior high school principal Jennifer Bridges, who is returning to the Neoga district. Board members also hired Damien Centers as an elementary school Morning Duty Supevisor, an elementary school PE teacher, and as junior high school head track coach, and also hired Kary Langan as elementary school after school tutor.
