126 New COVID Cases in County Thursday Through Sunday

The Effingham County Health Department announced 126 new cases of COVID were reported in the county from Thursday through Sunday. 59 of those involved those under age 40.

There were no COVID-related fatalities during the period.

On Thursday, December 30, 42 cases were reported, making 2021's final seven-day total 258. From Friday, December 31 through Sunday, January 2, there were 84 positive cases reported.
