Winners Announced in City Christmas Card Contest

The City of Effingham conducted its 1st Annual Christmas Card Contest. The winners of the competition were announced and recognized at Tuesday night's City Council meeting.

City Tourism Director Jodi Thoele reported that there were over 30 entries received in this inaugural contest. City Commissioner Libby Moeller made the presentations to the winners at the Council meeting.

The first place winner is Lucy Monical, a fourth grade student at St. Anthony Grade School. Lucy's cityscape card will be the Christmas card the City will use this year.

The second place winner is Tinley Patton, a third grader from Effingham.

The third place winner is Bella Schultz, a fourth grade student at St. Anthony Grade School.
