Altamont Man Injured in Wednesday Morning Crash

An Altamont resident was injured in a crash Wednesday morning in Effingham County.

Sheriff's deputies report a vehicle driven by 63-year-old James Starner was traveling northbound on 2000th Street in Bishop Township when the vehicle got into gravel along the roadway. The vehicle started traveling off the roadway. Starner attempted to recorrect the vehicle, which then continued through a small ditch and struck a tree line.

Starner was injured and was transported to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
