Teutopolis Village Employees Get 20% Pay Hike

Teutopolis village board members voted 20% pay increases to all Village of Teutopolis employees. The increase was granted, effective January 1, 2022.

The increase was approved after some research and discussion as to what would make village wage rates comparable to what village employees could receive elsewhere.

The employees had received 4% pay hikes at the start of the village fiscal year on May 1.

There was more discussion as to regulating use of golf carts and recreational off-highway vehicles in the village, but no decisions. The matter was tabled until the Board's December 15 meeting while language changes are being made.

The Board also granted $150 Christmas bonuses to each village employee.
