911 Board Approves Budget

Effingham County 911 board members have approved the final budget for the new fiscal year. $64,500 was added to the PSAP radio console upgrades line item, and $285,000 will be used from reserves for capital equipment upgrades.

The board approved 5% increases to the pay for the system administrator, informational technology specialist, addressing specialist, and the administrative aide wages, effective December 1.

Board members amended the 911 bylaws, allowing purchases up to $1,000 through the System Administrator, with Board approval. During an emergency situation, any expenses of $1,000 or above may be approved by three 911 Board members.
