Several Taken in For Questioning After Police Operation on Effingham's West Side

Local law enforcement authorities staged an enforcement operation Tuesday morning at a residence on Effingham's west side.

The operation occurred at 809 Richland Avenue. Officers knocked open the front door and took approximately six people from the home. Officers were still on scene just before 11am.

Effingham Police Chief Jason McFarland said, "We are executing a search warrant related to a narcotics investigation."
