Brownstown schools began their Thanksgiving break early this week due to an outbreak of COVID-19 cases.

The Brownstown school district posted on Facebook Monday "we experienced an outbreak of confirmed COVID 19 cases in the Brownstown school district today. The outbreak spans across both buildings and includes three staff members testing positive and several other staff members sent home as close contacts to the positive cases; some are symptomatic. In an effort to limit the effects of this outbreak and prevent any further exposures to students and staff leading into the holiday season, Brownstown schools will be closed (Tuesday) to be cleaned and disinfected. We will be back in session at normal time on Monday, November 29, 2021."
