Beecher City resident Krystle Nordhaus has been arrested on a Class X Felony count of home invasion.

The 35-year-old Nordhaus was arrested earlier this week after an incident at a home in Effingham. State's Attorney Bryan Kibler said the incident was about money.

Kibler said Nordhaus said Gaye Jurgens-Utley owed her money. Nordhaus allegedly improperly entered Jurgens-Utley's home on November 15 and got into a dispute with her. Kibler said it is alleged that Nordhaus at one point grabbed Jurgens-Utley by the hair and threw her to the ground and then hit her.

Nordhaus has also been charged with a felony count of criminal trespass to a residence by entering Jurgens-Utley's home during the incident.

Bond for Nordhaus has been set at $50,000. She is next due in court on Tuesday, the 23rd.
