Florida Man Injured in Fayette County Accident

Illios State Police report at 1:57 Wednesday morning a semi driven by Mario A. Rojas, 46 of Miami, FL was traveling westbound on Interstate 70 approaching exit 76 at St.Elmo. For an unknown reason Rojas traveled off the roadway to the left striking a guardrail and continued off the roadway down the bridge embankment and then struck the Union Pacific Rail line located at the intersection with Brewbaker Drive in St. Elmo.  

Rojas was transported by Air Evac to an area hospital with injuries.

Rojas was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
