Jasper County Sheriff Brandon Francis Releases Information on Friday Incident

Jasper County Sheriff Brandon Francis released the following information about an armed and dangerous suspect that was apprehended late Friday morning. 

On Friday morning, November 12, at approximately 7:49 The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office assisted by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office made a stop on a stolen vehicle in the Willow Hill area. The armed and dangerous subject fled and was later captured with the assistance of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Richland County Sheriff’s Office, Robinson Police Department, Newton Police Department, Illinois Secretary of State Police, Illinois State Police, Wade Community Fire Department, and Jasper County Emergency Management Agency. 

As of Friday the suspect Clayton M. Beavers was incarcerated at the Richland County Jail on multiple charges. Beavers was wanted on a Jasper County Warrant along with a Richland County Warrant. Beavers was charged with unlawful possession of a converted vehicle, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, other charges pending. 

Bond is set at 500,000.
