Paradise Inn Comes Down

A longtime landmark in Effingham, the Paradise Inn Motel on Fayette Avenue, came down Wednesday.

The motel was purchased by a development firm that plans to build retail space there, including a new home for Domino's Pizza, now located south across Fayette from the development. Domino's current location will be part of the reconstruction of Fayette Avenue from Illini Drive to Willow Street.
