Windsor school board members worked on COVID-related matters at their recent meeting.

The Board approved a second reading of policy concerning wearing face masks. The measure adopted requires wearing of masks inside school buildings as well as all district vehicles. Also approved was language allowing all district employees use of one day of COVID-paid administrative leave days for COVID vaccination, and one day of administration leave if the employee becomes ill.

Superintendent Erik VanHoveln said the same guideline will apply whether the employee is an administrator, a teacher, or a support staff member.

The Windsor board approved the audit report from the past fiscal year; adopted an estimated fiscal year tax levy of 4.99%; and left it to members of the senior class whether the trip is taken to either St. Louis or Indianapolis.

In personnel moves, the Windsor board hired Mike Haddock as interim transportation director retroactive to September 28; employed Lisa Doss, Sue Shumway, Pat Fahey and Kyle Thompson as substitute bus drivers; and hired Hannah Mast, Jackie Sierra and Leah Schulte as after-school tutors.
