70th Annual Louisville Fall Harvest Festival This Weekend

The 70th Annual Louisville Fall Harvest Festival is being held this weekend.

Friday evening activities get underway at 6pm. Those will include Little Miss, Jr. Miss and Queen Pageants; cake, cupcake and cookie decorating and pie baking contests, and then auctioning of the baked goods; a kiddie parade, a pedal tractor pull; arts, crafts and food vendors; and a lip sync contest.

Saturday activities will include the Rotary pancake breakfast from 7am to 1pm; the Clay County Cruisers Car Show from 9am to noon; a Princess Pageant at 10am; Power and Grace Tumbling at 11am; a K-9 demonstration; the annual parade at 2pm, with the queen coronation following the parade; food vendors; and a tractor show.

Sunday will also be a full day, with a church service on the square from 10:30 to 11:30am; food vendors; horse and pony rides; a kiddie train; a bounce house; free restroom facilities courtesy of First Baptist Church of Louisville; a beard and mullet contest; kiddie games; a DAS-zle performance; pulled pork sandwiches from the Louisville Chamber of Commerce; a 5K run at 8am to benefit a project in Guadalupe; a petting zoo; pony rides; free popcorn and a photo booth at BG's courtesy of Hoosier Prairie Baptist Church.

There will be live music on Saturday night; The Bird Dogs from 4-7pm and The Surviving Members from 8 to 11pm, courtesy of McGriff and Triplett Funeral Homes.

Also, Louisville American Legion Post #914 will sponsor a meat shoot Saturday at 11am.
