Members of the Effingham County Board's Ambulance Oversight Committee Wednesday reviewed the answers to the questions they had submitted to the three vendors bidding to provide 911 ambulance service in the county.

Committee members also asked follow up questions of the representatives of the three vendors present for the meeting.

As the committee nears the finish line in gathering information, it was decided to conduct background checks on each of the three vendors...Abbott EMS, Lakeside EMS, and Rural Med...and then meet again on Wednesday, November 3. Committee Chair Rob Arnold indicated the committee could take a vote at that meeting on which vendor to recommend to the full County Board.

The County's current contract with Abbott EMS will expire in April 2022.
