Two people were injured in a collision involving a SUV and a motorcycle Sunday evening.

The crash happened at 6:47pm on US Route 50 at Selmaville Road.

State police report Brownstown resident Jimmy Gelsinger was flown to a regional hospital for treatment of what were termed life-threatening injuries. The 64-year-old Gelsinger was operating the motorcycle involved in the crash.

The SUV driver, 68-year-old Randall Kline of Salem, attempted to turn off the highway onto the Selmaville Road and failed to yield to Gelsinger's motorcycle. The cycle struck the SUV in the passenger side, ejecting Gelsinger from the cycle.

Kline was transported by ambulance for treatment of what were termed non-life threatening injuries.

Kline was cited for failure to yield turning left.
