EHS Homecoming is Next Week

"Midnight Rose Garden" is the 2021 Homecoming theme at Effingham High School.

Activities will begin Monday, October 4 with a special kickoff welcome for students before school. 

The Homecoming Parade will take place on Wednesday, October 6. Lineup will take place along Second Street behind Effingham Public Library. The parade will step off at 6pm and head west on Jefferson Avenue to Cherry Street, then south on Cherry to Grove Avenue, then west on Grove to the high school. Recently-retired EHS staff members Ron Reed and Shannon Hinkle serve as Parade Marshals.

The 2021 Powder Puff fundraiser game will follow the parade with proceeds benefiting "Fear Nothing". 

A Pep Assembly will be held Thursday and hosted by the EHS Pep Club.

The Homecoming football game will be played on Friday, October 8 at the high school against Lincoln. Kickoff will be at 7pm. Coronation will take place at halftime.

This year's Homecoming Queen candidates are Sawyer Althoff, Chloe Bushue, Krista Phillips and Eden Wendlng. This year's Homecoming King candidates are Dalton Fox, Noah Jones, Brayden Pals and Cohen Woods. Junior attendants are Gracie Kroenlein, Emma Thompson, Connor Thompson and Jonah Sporleder. Sophomore attendants are Lindy Kalber, Taya Miller, Andrew Lotz and Camden Raddatz. Freshman attendants are Sarah Hirtzel, Isabella Vergara, Michael Love and Peter Rosen.

The Homecoming Dance is set for Saturday, October 9 from 8 to 11pm on the EHS lawn. Dance tickets are on sale during lunch hours all this week. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Tickets are $10.00.
