Teutopolis village board members again heard from local residents at their recent meeting about allowing the use of side-by-sides within the village limits.

Since a board member was not present, the Board decided to delay any action until their September 1 meeting.

Also, the Board allotted $143,753.71 to pay off what the Village owed Wooden Shoe Development in Tax Increment Financing funds. Now that the obligation to Wooden Shoe Development is finalized, the Village can seek $80,400 in TIF funds to help finance SRMD Solutions relocation from Dieterich to the Wooden Shoe Development site on the west edge of Teutopolis. A vote on that agreement is expected by the Board in September.

Teutopolis board members again discussed health insurance for village employees, but the issue is still not resolved. They did vote to release any claim on a lot in Prairie View Subdivision, and learned that the Village received $15,594.57 in ESSSR funds to pay for solar energy panels on the village hall.
