Details on Crash at 3rd and Temple Saturday

Details have been released on a crash that occurred Saturday afternoon at 3rd and Temple in Effingham.

City police report the crash happened at 4:45pm, when a vehicle driven by 58-year-old Carol Bohlen of Taylorville struck a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Glen Ballinger of Strasburg. The impact caused Ballinger's vehicle to spin then overturn. A utility trailer being towed by Ballinger's vehicle became disconnected from the vehicle and struck another vehicle driven by 63-year-old Aubrey Rogers of Salem. 

Bohlen, Ballinger, and a passenger in Bohlen's vehicle, 65-year-old Doris Morehouse of Butler, all sustained injuries in the collision and were transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.

Bohlen was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.
