Fayette County Coroner Releases Results of June Fatal Accident

Fayette County Coroner Dave Harris has released the final results of the investigation regarding the five fatality accident that happened east of Brownstown on June 19, 2021.
 
Coroner Harris reports that all four people in the vehicle driven by Hailey Funneman were killed as the result of being struck by a vehicle operated by Lloyd Rowe crossing the center line and entering their lane of traffic.
 
Their manner of death will be listed as a homicide as the result of being hit by a vehicle which was operated by an intoxicated person driving at a high rate of speed.  The other occupants of the Funneman vehicle were Coleton Price, James Bowlin, Jr., and Jeana Kollman all from the Effingham area. 
 
Rowe of Brownstown also died in the accident.
