Details were released Thursday morning on a crash in Jasper County a week ago in which four people were injured.

The crash happened at 9:48pm Thursday, July 1, at the intersection of Gila Road and Wall Street. Jasper County Brandon Francis said a truck driven by 17-year-old Evan Paul of Montrose disobeyed a stop sign and entered the intersection, striking a SUV driven by 64-year-old Alan Goebel of Montrose.

Three passengers in Goebel's vehicle were injured. 65-year-old Margie Goebel of Montrose was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment. Two other passengers, 39-year-old Krystal Goebel of Teutopolis and a juvenile female of Teutopolis were both airlifted from the scene to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana for treatment. Francis said Paul was examined at the scene for injuries, but was not taken for treatment.

Paul was cited for disobeying a stop sign.
