Illinois Commerce Commission Announces Grade Crossing Safety Improvement Plan

The Illinois Commerce Commission has announced its five-year crossing safety improvement program. Crossings on roads across the state are part of the program.

Here's a look at the crossings involved in the area in the coming fiscal year:

CUMBERLAND COUNTY--

County Road 2100 East near Greenup...install gates with flashing lights, reconstruct approaches

County Road 2050 East near Greenup...install gates with flashing ilghts, reconstruct approaches

County Road 2000 East near Greenup...install gates with flashing lights, reconstruct approaches

County Road 1975 East near Greenup...install gates with flashing lights, reconstruct approaches

EFFINGHAM COUNTY--

Main Street and 1000th Avenue in Dieterich...install gates with flashing lights

North 2200th Street in Dieterich...install gates with flashing lights

MARION COUNTY--

County Road 1800 North at Kinmundy...install gates with flashing lights, reconstruct approaches

County Road 1900 North at Kinmundy...install gates with flashing lights
