The Marion County Sheriff's Department is looking for the driver of a car that crashed along Illinois Route 37 north of Alma and then left the scene.

Kinmundy-Alma Fire Chief Kevin Day said a car apparently ran off the left side of the highway into the yard of the Kevin Diss home, where it overturned on the driver's side after crashing into a truck in Diss' driveway.

The Diss family woke up to find the wreckage around 5:30 Monday morning.

Day said there was heavy damage to both vehicles.

The fire department was called to the scene because it was feared someone might be trapped under the vehicle, but that was not the case.
