Details on Crash Wednesday in Effingham

Details are now available on a traffic crash in Effingham that occurred Wednesday afternoon.

City police say the crash occurred just before 5pm at Keller Drive and Heritage Boulevard. A vehicle driven by 50-year-old Eugene Bieber of Tower Hill rear-ended a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Vy Le Hewitt of Effingham, causing Hewitt's vehicle to rear-end a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Dakota Rubin of Centralia. 

A passenger in Hewitt's vehicle, 50-year-old Le Hoang of Effingham, was injured and was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Bieber was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
