Teutopolis school board members approved the fee structure for the coming school year at their meeting Monday night.

Among the changes was cutting the driver's ed fee in half, from $250 to $125. The athletic fee will remain $75 per sport, but a $150 cap was instituted so no student would be charged for more than two sports.

Lunch prices were raised 10 cents, and milk prices and a la carte items at the high school were increased by five cents.

Registration fee was raised by five dollars, but they eliminated the convenience fee.

The Board approved the tentative budget for the coming school year, and agreed to go out for bids on workers compensation insurance after the current vendor proposed 30% premium hikes.

Also approved was the purchase of Grades 6 to 8 Science textbooks for $35,000 and the regular upgrade of Chromebooks.

Following a closed session, board members hired Lana Jansen as a DO Student Aide at the grade school, and Maria Tegeler as fresh/soph girls basketball coach for the coming school year. Tegeler's resignation as junior high girls coach was accepted.
